THE RESURRECTION.

When we talk about the Bible doctrine and therefore the Christian doctrine of resurrection, we of course think first about the resurrection of Christ.

As R.A. Torrey has written:  "The resurrection of Jesus Christ is in many aspects, the most important FACT in history.  If the resurrection stands, every essential doctrine of Christianity stands."  And we would add, if the resurrection is not true then every Christian doctrine will prove to be false.

1. THE HEADQUARTERS FOR THE DOCTRINE IS 1 CORINTHIANS 15

The reasons Paul wrote:

a. Vs. 12   Some at Corinth were saying there was no resurrection.

b. Vs 35    Some were asking HOW are the dead raised up?

John 5:28-29  "all" that are in the graves

1Corinthians 15:37-38  n you "sow seeds" there is a return.

ill. wheat reproduces wheat

oats  "  oats

potatoes  "  potatoes

bodies  "  bodies.

This is Paul's argument.  Acts 23:6-8
