INTRODUCTION
This table was ordained of
the Lord.
Matthew
26:26
1 Corinthians
11:23
The ordinance is
not of man. Paul did not conceive
it. Nor the church nor
tradition. Because it was
ordained of the Lord it is called “The Lord’s Table.” He invites us to His table. No ordinance has been more perverted. At the beginning it was but a simple
rite. This is not a virtuous feast. There is no saving merit in it. There is no healing in it. There is no more virtue in these emblems than
in the water in which you were baptized.
We do well to keep it simple and not add anything top it.
11 FIVE BASIC FACTS ABOUT IT.

This DO! The only picture Christ left of Himself with
us. It makes the historical Christ real. It makes the risen Christ real. It makes
the coming Christ real to our
hearts. It makes our hearts better!
