A Look at the Book
1 Corinthians 10:32
1. "HOLY BIBLE" MEANS WHAT TO
YOU?
"Holy" in its simple definition,
means "set-apart"
"Bible" simply means
"book".
So we have a "set-apart book"
2. THE BIBLE BEGINS WITH THE FACT OF GOD.
Genesis 1:1 God the Creator.
We accept that or reject it, we cannot
alter it.
Pro Shapley of Harvard stated: "some people piously proclaim "in the beginning, God". I
say, "In the beginning Hydrogen".
We must consider this verse to be the
gateway into all the Bible.
3. GENESIS CHAPTERS 1-3; THE BEGINNING OF
THE HUMAN RACE.

God created the first man and the first woman.

Evolution is a human invention. Man has become wise in his own ideas. Romans

A. First of families, then of Nations.
Genesis 10:5 the first time the word
"gentiles" is used.
Genesis 18,20,31,32 "families"
Genesis 6:1 before the flood men had
multiplied on the earth, after the flood they were reduced to three families.
B. Genesis 9:26, the Promised Saviour, Messiah, would come from Shem.

In Matthew the genealogy only goes back to
David and Abraham. Here in Luke it goes back to Adam,
to be a true man.
E. John says, Behold the LORD, O Israel.
Matthew goes back to Abraham. Luke goes back to Adam. John goes back, back into eternity past, the
beginning.
The stories in John are recorded to prove
that He is Creator.
