The Feet
Toes Stone

I
There are five parts to this image in Daniel
two.
1. We
are told that each part symbolizes a powerful Gentile Kingdom.
2. The
kingdom of Babylon existed at the time of Daniel’s writing.
3. Daniel 5:1-30 the night of the fall of
the great Babylonian Empire
4. Daniel 5:31 the rise of the Median
Empire under Darius, and then Cyrus the Persian Daniel 6:28
According to history, it
was on October 13, 539 B.C. that Cyrus the Persian King brought the conclusion of the fall of Babylon.
The Persians had been dominated by
the Medes, until the days of Cyrus.

Chronicles 36:22-23. Note Ezra 1:1-2
Isaiah
44:28 to Isaiah 45:1-4 This prophecy regarding
Cyrus was written 150 years before Cyrus was born!
5. Daniel 2:40 the fourth kingdom shall be
strong as iron. We notice that the legs of the image were made of iron.
6. It was during the time of the legs of
iron that Christ came to earth the first time.
7. Four
Roman kings are named in the Bible, all holding the title of Caesar:
a.
Augustus Caesar 31 BC – 14AD
Luke 2:1 during this
period, Christ was born
b.
Tiberius Caesar 14AD – 37 AD
During his reign, Christ
was crucified
c.
Claudius Caesar Acts 11:28 and Acts 18:2
d.
Nero Caesar 41 AD – 54 AD
Acts 25:12, Philippians
4:22
8. In
476 AD, Rome ceased to be a great empire.
Not from without, but because of corruption within (Arena of Faith,
pages 40-42).
II Daniel
2:41-43 Another Kingdom is predicted.
Daniel
2:41 “The
feet and toes part of potters’ clay, and part of iron”
Certainly,
to symbolize another kingdom.
The “toes” are “kings” (verse 44),
although together, like the United Nations, not strongly united.
The feet and toes represent the last
Gentile world empire, a kind of United States trying
to unite for world peace and world government
III Daniel 2:44 In the days of these Kings …
We believe it means
these last ten Gentile Kings. To make
them to refer to the ten Roman Caesars of history is to mix the time of the
legs with the time of iron and clay.
All the Caesars were part of the
time of the legs.
In Revelation 17:12, we learn there
are 10 kings (or Leaders) who will arise during the time of the Beast or the
Anti-Christ.
2 Thessalonians 2:3-8 this wicked one
will be destroyed by the Coming of the Lord.
Therefore, this part of the image
must still be future.
IV Daniel 2:35 The Stone
that smites the Image and becomes a great mountain filling the earth, must mean
the Second Coming of Christ,
first in judgment, 2 Thessalonians 1:8,
then in blessing of the 1000 year reign:
Matthew 21:44 to fall on
this Stone is salvation
To
have It fall on
you is surely judgment
