I         Solomon was the last King of Israel, the United Kingdom

III   The Northern Kingdom became Israel

1Kings 11:26 Jeroboam became the first King

1 Kings 11: 31 he was King over ten tribes

2 Kings 17:16 Israel left all the commandments

Samaria became the Capital city of the Northern Kingdom

IV   The Southern Kingdom became Judah

1 Kings 11:43 Rehoboam was the first king

2 Kings 17:19 like Israel, Judah kept not the commandments

Jerusalem was the Capital city

V      Because of their Idolatry, God's judgment of Israel was the Assyrian Captivity in 712 BC

VI   Because of their Idolatry, God's judgment of Judah was the Babylonian Captivity in 606 BC (about 100 years later)

VII      Conclusion

Idolatry will surely bring the judgment of God
