The Plan of the Ages

God’s Dispensational Dealings with Humanity

Judgment is Sure

Lesson XXXVIII

March 19, 2006

I         Introduction

1)      Each dispensation begins with an act of God in Grace

In this dispensation, the act of grace was in God sending His Son

2)      In each dispensation God gives man a specific Responsibility

In this dispensation that responsibility is to believe on His Son

3)      In each dispensation man fails to keep that responsibility

Today, mans greatest failure and sin is his ever increasing unbelief

II      At the end of every dispensation, God judges in keeping with the responsibility given for that dispensation

Today, God says “believe on my Son,” man says, “ I will not because I cannot believe”

2 Thessalonians 2:10 because they receive not the truth

2 Thessalonians 2:11 for this cause (unbelief) God sends them delusion to believe a lie

2 Thessalonians 2:12 do not believe are damned

III   Jesus is the truth, Anti Christ will be the lie

John 14:6 I am the truth.  He did not say, “I speak the truth.”

John 5:23 I am come…ye received me not.  Another shall come him ye will receive.

2 Thessalonians 2:11 It is God in judgment, who will send strong delusions (strong reasons) to believe the lie, who is Anti- Christ.  Men who will not believe Christ will be preparing themselves to believe the Anti-Christ.

IV   The Judgment of this age of Grace involves the Coming Great Tribulation because at that Time Anti-Christ appears

This age that began with the appearance of Christ, will end with the appearance of Anti Christ

1 John 2:18 the Anti Christ shall come, He has not come yet

V      The Tribulation is not the Specific Judgment for the world, because it is primarily the time of Jacob’s Trouble

Jeremiah 30: alas!  It is the time of Jacob’s trouble

The coming of the Anti Christ will be the world’s judgment

VI   We learn from Scripture, that in the past God often does something in grace just before He sends His severe judgments

Just before the flood, God took Enoch home.

Just before destroying Sodom, God took Lot out of the city

We believe these examples are typical.

Just before the judgments of the Tribulation and Anti-Christ appears, in grace, the Lord will Rapture His Church

Isaiah 57:1-2

1 Thessalonians 5:9

This leads us to two great subjects:

The time of the Rapture

The time of the Great Tribulation
