Lesson XL1V

May 14, 2006

I  The Return and Revelation of Christ will be the Great Dividing Day

Matthew 25:31-  Christ returns in power and great glory all the holy Angels

Zechariah 14:5  and all the saints with Him

Revelation 16:14  it will be the day of the battle of God Almighty

Revelation 16:16  the place will be Armageddon

Joel 3:12  in the valley of Jehoshaphat, Christ sits as judge

Matthew 25:34  those on his right, inherit the kingdom

Matthew 25:41  to those on His left he says-“depart from me”

For the saved it will be a delightful day

For the unsaved a dreadful day.

II  Two Reasons why Christ has not yet Returned

2:Peter 3:9  He is not willing that any should perish

1Peter 3:20     As He waited in the days of Noah He waits today

Psalm 75:7-8  in the hand of the Lord there is a cup-filling up

Psalm 11:6  fire and brimstone in that cup

Genesis 15:16  when the cup is full, God judges.

2 Chronicles 36:16  when there was no remedy, God judged Judah

III  The Return will be to the Mount of Olives, beside Jerusalem on the east.

Zechariah 14:1-5  the mount will divide

All will know Israel’s Messiah has returned

Only the Lord can fulfill these verses

He will save Jerusalem from total destruction

IV  Jesus will move into Jerusalem through the eastern gate into the Temple

Zechariah 6:12,13  He shall build the temple

Ezekiel 43:1-7  He comes to the temple, the place of His throne

V  Then, Jesus Divides the Land for the Tribes of Israel

Ezekiel 47:13-21  they shall inherit the land . The borders are given

Ezekiel 48:1-29   details of that division are given

VI  The Division of the Land is necessary for the fulfillment of a promise.

Matthew 19:27-28  ye shall sit on twelve thrones…

VII  The Conclusion

All these prophecies will be literally fulfilled.  Most Christians seem as if they could care less.  But nothing is more exciting than God’s great plan for our future!
