The Thousand Year Reign of Christ

Lesson XLV1

May 28, 2006

I  Jesus Christ will Return as King and Reign on this earth of one thousand years

Revelation 20:1-7  how many times do you read “thousand years” in these verses?

Revelation 20:2  the Devil is bound for a definite period of time, a thousand years

Revelation 20:3  after the thousand years, he is loosed for a little season.  An indefinite of time.

To say that the thousand years is the long period between the first and second Advents of Christ, is to make it an indefinite period of time, and thus the little season has no meaning.

So we repeat:  The thousand years is a definite period of time.

The little season is an indefinite period of time.

II  Revelation 20:1  begins with the word “and”

The conjunction connects chapter 20 with chapter 19.

Chapter twenty is a record of events that can only take place if the events of

chapter nineteen have taken place.

III  Revelation 19:1-10  John tells us what he heard in Heaven

            Revelation 19:1   I heard

            Revelation 19:6   I heard

Revelation 19:9  he said unto me

Revelation 19:10  and he said unto me

IV  Revelation 19:11 to Revelation 21:1  he tells us what he saw

            Revelation 19:11  and I saw

            Revelation 19:17  and I saw

            Revelation 19:19  and I saw

            Revelation 20:1  and I saw

            Revelation 20:4  and saw

            Revelation 20:11  and I saw

            Revelation 20:12  and I saw

            Revelation 21:1  and I saw

Do we dare question what John heard and what he saw?

Hebrews 2:8   we see not yet.  Implying that we will see.

V  Revelation Chapter 20:1-15

Are the results of the invasion from Heaven as outlined in chapter nineteen
