He was taken before the judgment of the flood, as the Church will be taken before the tribulation.

II What Jude 14,15, tells us about Enoch

Enoch was the seventh from Adam

Enoch preached prophecy, of the Second Coming. Cf Zechariah 14:5

Enoch was really, an “End Times” preacher- it was the end for that generation.

Enoch could not have preached judgment without preaching the righteousness of God

cf 2 Peter 2:5. God must judge because He is righteous.

You can be sure. Enoch was not a popular preacher!

III What Hebrews 11:5 tells us about Enoch

Enoch was a man of faith

Enoch was taken without death cf I Thessalonians 4:17

Enoch was not found, they looked for him

Enoch had a good testimony before men

Enoch pleased God

IV What Genesis 5:18-22 tells us about Enoch

Genesis 5:18 Jared was his father. The name means “meek”

Cf Matthew 11:29, Numbers 12:3, Matthew 5:5, Galatians 5:23. Meekness is evidence of true godliness. We believe Jared was godly

Genesis 5:21 Enoch was 65 when his son, Methuselah, was born.

Genesis 5:22 Enoch walked with God, after the birth of his son

Genesis 5:22 Enoch had other children, none are named

Genesis 5:24 Enoch, walking with God one day, and God said “come home with me” A type of the Church
