This chapter is God’s calendar of special days.  It is God revealing His plans made before the foundation of the earth.  Therefore, a chapter rooted in history, but filled with prophecies.

I  Leviticus 23:5 -   this Feast pointed backward to the Passover night in Egypt

Exodus 12:1-2  the beginning of Israel’s history as a Nation.

Exodus 12:3-4  they were to take a lamb for each house

Exodus 12:5-6  a lamb without blemish , to be killed on the 14th day of the month

Exodus 12: 7   the blood of that lamb was to be applied to the door

Exodus 12-13  the death angel would ‘pass-over’ the house with the blood applied

Exodus 12 29,30  the first born died if the lamb had not died

Passover, was the night Israel was redeemed by the blood of the lamb.

Exodus 13:3  they were to remember the day they came out of bondage

Deuteronomy 16:1  their feast of Passover was to be an annual memorial feast

II  1 Corinthians 5:7    Christ, our Passover is sacrificed for us

1 Corinthians 1:23   we preach Christ crucified

III  Psalm 118: 24  The Day Christ died is the day the Lord Made

Psalm 118: 22   The Stone is Christ

The builders, Israel, who rejected Him

Christ has become the corner Stone.

Psalm 118:23     This is the Lord’s doing-  marvelous in our eyes

Psalm 118: 24    This is the day the Lord hath made.  The day salvation was brought to man   cf  Titus 2:11

Acts 4:8-12         Peter is inspired by the Holy Spirit

Acts 4:10            He speaks of Christ’s death and resurrection

Acts 4:11            Then says, “this is the Stone”

Acts 4:12            There is salvation in no other

IV  The Law demanded the death of the sinner.

Christ fulfilled the demands of the law by His death.

He was the true Passover- Lamb
