Scripture Reading.

John 2:13-16 – The Feast of Passover had become a time to make merchandise of the worshipers.

Cf 2 Peter 2:1-3 this is the mark of the false.

I In Leviticus 23 , we have the Special Days on God’s Calendar

1 Leviticus 23:5- Feast of Passover, pointed backward to Israel’s coming out of Egypt. They were always to remember that night.

1 Corinthians 5:7 pointed forward to the Day Christ died

2 Leviticus 23:6 – Feast of unleavened bread; fellowship as a result of the Day

Christ died.

1 Corinthians 5:8 feast of sincerity and truth Colossians 3:9-10

3 Leviticus 23:10 Feast of Firstfruits, pointed forward to Christ’s resurrection

1 Corinthians 15:20,23 Risen Christ, the firstfruits

4 Leviticus 23:16 Feast after 50 days pointing to the day of Pentecost

Acts 2:1 when the day of Pentecost was fully come it was 50 days after Christ’s resurrection from the dead.

II Psalm 118:24 The Day Christ Died , was the Day the Lord Made.

III Ezekiel 18:4 The Soul that sinneth, it shall die

Romans 6:23 all have sinned

The law demands the death of the sinner.

That is why God in love, sent His Son to died on the cross.
