God’s
Great Plan for Israel
The
Feast-of Trumpets
Lesson VII
March 16, 2008
I
Leviticus 23:37- These are the
Feasts of the Lord
They
are all of God, ordained by God.
They
are all part of the plan of God, none the plan of men
They
are all set-forth in a specific order, arranged to foreshadow God’s eternal
purposes.
Each
feast points forward to something far greater.
The planned events are the most important events of history, because all
have to do with the work of Christ.
The
first
four feasts, pointed forward to events now recorded as history in the
New Testament.
When
we now come to the last three feasts, we cannot find in the New Testament, any
passage that states they have been fulfilled and have become history.
We
have also concluded that as the first four feasts were fulfilled by
the First Coming of Christ, so the last
three feasts will be fulfilled by the Second Coming of Christ
II Leviticus 23:23-25 October 1st- the memorial of blowing of trumpets
Leviticus
Leviticus
Here
are three feasts, three pictures, three major prophecies regarding the Nation
of Israel
The
first - predicts their being gathered together as one Complete Nation
The
second -their being saved as a Nation on one day
The
third - their
enjoying the promised blessings in the millennium
III Acts 1:3-11 When Jesus was about to ascend to Heaven, we
see by their question that the disciples
knew He had not fulfilled all the promises made to
Matthew 23:37-39 what Jesus had said, was not understood.
2 Corinthians 3:13-15 The Jews’minds
were blinded and the veil is on their hearts
IV Numbers 10:1-3, 7 In
Israel trumpets were blown, calling the people to assemble.
The
blowing of the Trumpet feast when fulfilled, will put
God’s program for
What
we have been seeing for the past sixty years is only a shadow of what is yet to
come
Matthew
24:27-31 Certainly a Second Advent passage of
Scripture. When Jesus came the First
time He came primarily, as the Son of God. The next time, He shall come
primarily, as the Son of Man.
“Tribes”
in the passage have to do with the “Tribes of Israel” not the “tribes of the
Gentiles”
“Elect” ? When Jesus made
this prediction, the Church had not yet been formed. He was addressing the Jews, and they would
understand that he was talking about the elect of their Nation. Gentiles have a problem accepting this because,( to quote Van Dickson) “we have been living so long in the
tents of Shem we think we own the tents”
V
We list some of the many prophecies of this re- gathering in the Old
Testament
Jeremiah 16:14-15 there will be a second exodus
Jeremiah

Ezekiel 11:16-17 I will assemble you…and

Ezekiel 37: 21

Ezekiel

Amos

Micah
Acts
15:13-15 to this agree the words of the
prophets
Acts
15:16-18
The
Prophets agree. There will be a future,
final re - gathering of the Tribes of Israel.
It will be the same Nation that was brought out of
