John 3:1-3
Lesson I
Sons of
God Now
There are six statements in our
texts
1 Now are we the sons of God (sons by birth)
It doth not appear what we shall be (Philippians 1:6 - God is at work in
us)
3 We know He shall appear (we are not guessing)
4 We shall be like Him (this the purpose of our salvation)
5.We shall see Him as He is ( as at the Transfiguration, as after
resurrection)
6.Having this hope we purify ourselves
I All are not
sons or children of God
2 Thessalonians
3:2 all have not faith
The old teaching of “The universal
fatherhood of God and the universal brotherhood of man” is not correct. But most claim God as their father and
themselves as God’s children in our part of the world. But this is not Scriptural teaching.
II All born into this world, are born
sinners, the offspring of sinful parents.
