Text -1 John 3:2

I Beloved, now are we the sons of God

Believers belong to the same family

II And it doth not yet appear what we shall be

Hebrews 2:8 we see not yet, implies we will see

Romans 8:19 our manifestation as sons is not now

Acts 3:20-21 the restitution of all things is not now

III Because we are sons now, God is working in us now

Philippians 1:6 He has begun, He will perform

Philippians 2:12-13 always read verse 13 when reading verse 12

2 Corinthians 3:18 He is changing us now

2 Corinthians 4:7 there is a treasure in the earthen vessel.

We are like diamonds in the rough. Worms waiting to become butterflies

IV What hinders His working in us now?

1 Thessalonians 2:13 works when we believe

Hebrews 4:2,3 works when mixed with faith

Romans 15:13 joy and peace in believing

2 Corinthians 4:13 we believe and speak

IV What is in store for the sons of God?

Philippians 3:21 He will change our vile bodies to be like Christ

1 Corinthians 15:51-52 we shall all be changed

Hebrews 7:16 we will enter an endless life

1 Corinthian1s 15:39-40 exchange a terrestrial, earthly body, for a celestial body

1 Corinthians 15:42 it will be incorruptible

See also verse 53 and 1Peter 1:23. No repairs will be needed

1 Corinthians 15:44 it will be a spiritual body

1 Corinthians 15:47 it will bare the image of the heavenly, not earthy

1 Corinthians 15:53 it will no longer be mortal,

Romans 6:9 no longer subject to death

V Conclusion

It will help us to live now if we have our eyes on then

It will help us if we keep being reminded of who we are and what is in store

Romans 8:18 not worthy to be compared

2 Corinthians 4:17 who can explain that?
