Text 1 John 3:2 The word “know” is found in this Epistle at least 22 times

First, we look at the Scriptures telling us what we know about Jesus Christ

Then at those verses that pertain to those who know Him .

I 1 John 5: 20 We know that the Son of God is come because the Bible tells us so.

Luke 16:31 God had spoken by Moses and the prophets. Cf John 5:46-47

Hebrews 1:1-2 God hath now spoken by His Son

Matthew 17:5 My Son…hear Him

II 1 John 3:5 We know that He was manifested to take away our sins because the

Matthew 9:12-13 came for sin-sick sinners

1 Timothy 1:15 Came to save sinners

Acts 13:38-39 through this man is forgiveness of sins

III 1 John 2:29 We know that He is righteous because the Bible tells us so

1 John 3:5 in Him is no sin

2 Corinthians 5:21 He knew no sin

1 Peter 2:22 he did not sin

If we do anything that is righteous , it is because of Him

When we have the witness of the Spirit, we need no other

XII 1 John 5:14-15 We know he hears us when we pray when we ask in His will

because the Bible tells us so

XIII 1 John 5:18 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not because the Bible tells us so

2 Corinthians 5:17 in Christ, a new creature

Remember your old flesh was not born again.That which is within is a new man

Colossians 3:10 put on the new man.

This new creation, this new man cannot sin because it has been born of God
