are two aspects to the Day of the Lord

Joel 3:14 The great and terrible day, to come, in judgment on this earth

called “Man’s Day” but the “Lord’s Day” is coming

Old Test. every major judgment was considered “a day of the Lord”

of the Lord

coming Babylonian Captivity a day of the Lord near at hand
2 Peter 2:6 all past judgments were to
be seen as ensamples of a greater judgment
to come. ( are the earthquakes not but signs of greater to come? Chile was 500
times stronger than the earthquake of Haiti)
A.D.70
was a
day of the Lord. Remember all wars are judgments of God!
V The New Testament teaches that there is a
future Day of the Lord

Thessalonians 5:2 shall come
2 Peter 3:10 elements, will melt, it does not say ‘matter”
This
day will come when the Lord returns to earth, first to judge and then to bless.
