Promises to Israel

Introduction
Our lesson today is found in Joel
3:16-21
I Joel 3:16 The Lord also shall roar out of Zion, and utter
his voice from Jerusalem
The words “out of” and “from”
indicate that Jesus will have returned to Jerusalem
The word “Zion”
means “desert” “barrenness” or “dry place”.
It is the name of the Jerusalem that has been since Christ left it
desolate two thousand years ago
“Jerusalem” means “the city of
peace” This it will become, when He
comes!
Revelation 11:8
Jerusalem spiritualized has been
like Egypt, not the Church
When He
returns He will roar with His voice
Psalm 29:3-9 the
voice of the LORD , that is,
Jehovah-Jesus
When on earth the first time:
John 7:37 He
cried saying..
John 11:43 He
cried with a loud voice
John 12:28-30 a voice was heard, people
said “it thundered”
Matthew 27:50 cried
with a loud voice
1 Thessalonians 4:16 He comes with a shout, at the Rapture. Sheep will know!
He comes with a roar at His revelation
Hebrews 12:25-29 His
voice will shake both earth and heaven
II Joel 3:16 The Lord will be
the hope of Israel
Joel 3:16 The hope of His people, Israel, is Jesus Christ
1 Timothy 1:1 The hope of the Church is Jesus Christ
Ephesians 2:12 To
be without Christ is to be without hope
III Joel
3:17-21 Some
results of Christ’s presence on this earth
Verse 17 .. Jerusalem will be known
as the holy city. No Strangers in it,
that is
Gentles. It will be
set-apart totally for the Jews
Verse 18 “New wine”

new in my Father’s kingdom with you

14:25 the same is stated.
Verse 18 “flow with milk and honey” it will be prosperous, even like the Garden
of Eden Ezekiel 36:34-36
Verse 18 “waters from the house of the Lord
to valley of Shittim,(Jordon)
Ezekiel 47:1-12 explains the details “eastward”
Verse 19 Egypt an Edom will be made
desolate during the millennium
Verse 20 Judah
and Jerusalem will be blessed
Verse 21 The
Lord dwells (bodily) in Jerusalem
