Ephesians 2:12 unbelievers do not have any hope

Hebrews 6:19 which hope we (believer’s ) have..

Peter says : “ be ready to give a reason for the hope that is in you

1 Timothy 1:1 The Lord Jesus Christ is our hope

1 Peter 1:21 by Him we believe in God. Why do we believe in God?

I.. God has revealed Himself in and by Creation

Psalm 19:1-7 the heavens declare the glory of God…

Romans 1:18-20 the invisible things of Him are clearly seen by creation.

II In Creation, God has revealed Himself in and by a Nation

In Creation there is a Nation of Jews called Israel

You cannot deny their existence any more than you can creation

Hebrews 1:1 God hath spoken unto the father’s (of Israel ) by the prophets

Romans 11:22 in and by the Jews you see the severity of God

By creation God has spoken in a general way. By Israel he has spoken in a specific way.

III In and from that Nation God has revealed Himself in and by a Person

Hebrews 1:2 God hath spoken by His Son

John 4:9 Jesus, in the flesh, was a Jew

The hear about the Jews is to think about Jesus

IV That Person, Jesus Christ, who came to reveal God, said He would build His

Church

Matthew 16:18 I will build my Church

God produced creation

Creation produced a Nation

A nation produced a unique Person

That Person built a Church

The existence of Israel and the Church prove that God is

V.. God has revealed Himself in a Book

1 John 5:11 in the record God hath given

God’s record is primarily about His Son Jesus Christ

Luke 24:27 in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself

The Old Testament record is about His people, Israel

The New Testament record is about His people , the Church

Conclude

Because of these facts we have reasons for our hope.
