The Days of Lot

Luke 17:28-30

I When Christ returns, things on earth will be like the days of Noah

Proverbs 2:22 and Proverbs 10:30

When Christ returns, things will be as the days of Lot in Sodom

We believe the Rapture of the Church will take place seven years before these days reach full bloom.

“To know the end follow the trend.”

II We consider the days of Lot

1. Genesis 13:10 Sodom was a prosperous place

cf Hosea 4:7

2. Ezekiel 16:49-50- a- pride cf Deuteronomy 8:13,14 and 1 Timothy 6:17

b. fullness of bread- or prosperity cf Proverbs 30:8-9

c. abundance of idleness-

d haughty- blatantly vulgar , abusive and disdainful

e. very sinful

3. Genesis 13:13 wicked sinners

4. Isaiah3:9 no shame

5. Genesis 14:17,21-23 Abram would take nothing from Sodom’s king

6. Genesis 18:20 cry of the city

7. Genesis 18:32 not ten righteous in it

8 Genesis 19:1-14 the sad story

9 . Genesis 19:16 his sons-in law, had no faith

10 Genesis 19:16 Lot was brought out cf 2 Peter 2:7-8

11 Genesis 19:24 The Lord, not the Devil, destroyed the place

Luke 17:29 the same day Lot was removed

13 Jude 7 Angels sinned as did the Sodomites

15 Jeremiah 23:14 the prophets of Israel became like the Sodomites

16 Deuteronomy 23:17 they were not to be in the land

17 Revelation 11:8 Jerusalem spiritualized, is Sodom, not the Church

18 Romans 9:29 Had it not been for God’s mercy, where would we be?
