Lesson V

Matthew 24:13

September 13, 2009

Text:  Matthew 24:13  Enduring to the end

Can you use this text to prove your salvation is secure?

I  Matthew 23:38  To the Jews, Jesus said your house is left to you desolate. He did not

say “I am now forever finished with the Jewish Nation

Matthew 23: 39  He did say “you will see me again”

II  Matthew 24: 3  So they ask:  What shall be the sign of thy Coming?

III  Matthew 24:15  Jesus then makes reference to Daniel 9:27.

That verse has to do with the 70th week of the 70 weeks

Daniel 9:24 all the weeks are upon Daniel’s people, the Jews. Here is more proof

that Matthew 24 is not addressed to the Church, nor is it about the Church.

IV  Matthew 24:21  Jesus names that week “the Great Tribulation.”

This will be the next great event before He comes back to Israel and earth.

Matthew 24:13, then, is to be understood in the context of the Great Tribulation.

VI  Romans 11:26  and so all Israel shall be saved as it is written…”

What do we find written?

1  Isaiah 4:2,3   note the four words: escaped, left, remaineth and living

            2. Jeremiah 30:7  Jacob’s trouble-  he shall be saved out of it

3  Daniel 12:1  thy people shall be delivered—every one written in the book

            4. Zechariah 13:8,9, in the land, one third shall remain alive

            5. Zechariah 14:3  the Lord will fight for them

            6. Romans 11:26   there shall come the Deliverer

7. Romans 11:27  He takes away their sins, and ALL Israel that endures  to the end of the Tribulation shall be saved. physically and spiritually, as a Nation.

8  Zechariah 12:8-10  He will pour….they will look

VII  1 Timothy 1:16  Paul says he is a pattern to those hereafter believe.

Acts 9:1-9  Paul was saved by seeing Christ

John 20:24-29  Doubting Thomas becomes a type-  “I will not believe until I see”

VIII  Conclude

Matthew 24:13 has absolutely nothing to do with our salvation now.

We are not in the great tribulation, nor shall we ever be!
