We purpose to divide Salvation from Service
Salvation
is what the Lord does for us. He has
done what we could not do for ourselves.
Our salvation has to do with our going to Heaven
Service
has to do with what we do for the Lord after we are saved. It has to do with how we live after we are
saved.
II First Contrast.
Salvation
is a gift from God
Ephesians
2:8 saved…a gift from God
Romans

are three ways of obtaining things
One may work.
Ephesians 2:9, Romans 11:6

Receive as a gift

of God
Service is
work or works for God

Acts

Second Contrast
Salvation
is Coming to Christ
John
1:40-42 he brought him to Jesus
We may consider this the call to
salvation
Service
is following after Jesus
Mark 1:1-20
come ye after me
Mark
